Questions

Are my pictures uploaded?
No. The conversion happens inside your browser, on your device. Nothing is sent to FlareSpark or anyone else, and nothing is saved. You can check this in your browser's network tab.
Does it keep my photo's location and camera details?
No. Converted pictures are written fresh, so hidden data like GPS location, camera model and dates is not carried over.
Is there a size or number limit?
Up to 40 pictures at a time, each up to 40 MB. Very large pictures can run out of memory on a phone, and are shrunk automatically if they are enormous.
Why does my converted file look different?
JPG and WebP squeeze pictures, so a lower quality slider gives a smaller file with some loss. GIF only has 256 colours, so photos look rougher as GIFs. Transparent areas turn into the background colour for JPG and BMP, because those can't be see-through.
