Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
This policy explains what FlareSpark collects and how it is used. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
- Account data: your username, your email address, a salted hash of your password (we never store the password itself), the date you created your account, and the version and date of the Terms you accepted.
- Content you create: short links and their destination URLs, QR code settings and the text they encode, link tree pages (text, links, theme and uploaded pictures), and a running total of clicks per link.
- Analytics: for each link, QR code and page we keep hourly totals by country (and US state), device type and referring site. We don't store visitor IP addresses, keep a log of individual visitors, or build visitor profiles.
- Abuse reports: the reported link, the reason, and any details the reporter chooses to write. We do not store the reporter's identity.
- Security data: to limit abuse, IP addresses are used temporarily as part of rate-limit counters and are removed within a day.
Cookies
We use a few small cookies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, a cookie that remembers a device you chose to trust, and, for visitors who confirm they are 18 or older on an adult-content warning page, a cookie that remembers that answer for a week. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use data
To run the Service: sign you in, serve your links and QR codes, prevent abuse, enforce our Terms, and respond to legal requests. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Where it is processed
FlareSpark runs on Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare processes traffic and stores our data on our behalf and applies its own privacy policy to its systems. If you use bot-protection challenges on sign-up, Cloudflare Turnstile may process limited browser signals.
Visitors to short links
When someone opens a short link, our servers receive their request and redirect it to the destination. The destination site's own privacy practices apply from that point on.
Your choices
- You can delete your account and all of its links and QR codes from the Account tab of your dashboard.
- To ask for a copy of your data or have something corrected, email hello@flarespark.cc.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above.
