Getting started

What is FlareSpark?
A free toolbox for sharing: short links, QR codes, a link-in-bio page, giveaways, polls, event RSVPs and a few random tools, with live analytics for what you publish.
Is it free?
Yes. Accounts are free and there are no ads. The limits below keep the service fast and fair for everyone.
Do I need an account?
Visitors never need one: they can click links, scan QR codes, enter giveaways, vote in polls, RSVP to events and use the free random tools without signing up. You need an account to create things.
Who can sign up?
You must be 18 or older. You choose a username (it becomes your link tree address), confirm your email with a code, and confirm new devices with an emailed code when you sign in.
I forgot my account password.
Use Forgot password on the log-in page. We email a code to the address on your account.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. In your dashboard open Account and choose Delete account. It permanently deletes your short links, QR codes and everything else you made, so anything you printed that points to them will stop working.

QR codes

What kinds of QR code can I make?
A QR code for any web address, plain text, Wi-Fi sign-in or a contact card. Pick square, rounded or dotted shapes and your own colours.
Can I change a QR code after printing it?
If it points at one of your short links, yes: edit the link's destination and the same printed code goes to the new place. A code that holds plain text or a fixed address can't be changed.
Can I add a name or logo?
Yes. You can add a caption under the code, and put either a short name (up to 8 characters) or a small logo picture in the middle. The caption is included in the SVG and PNG downloads.
Will a logo in the middle stop it scanning?
A logo or name hides a few squares, so we raise error correction to High automatically, which lets scanners rebuild the hidden part. Always test-scan with a phone before you print, and keep the logo simple.
Which file formats can I download?
SVG, which stays sharp at any size, and PNG.
How many QR codes can I have?
Up to 500.

Link tree

What is a link tree?
One page with all your important links as buttons, at flarespark.cc/@yourusername. It is handy for a social media bio.
How many buttons can I add?
Up to 15.
Can I customise it?
Yes: themes, your own colours and fonts, a profile picture, a background image, and animations such as entrance, hover and attention effects.
Are there limits on pictures?
Pictures are shrunk in your browser before upload (about 150 KB for the profile picture and 700 KB for the background) in JPEG, PNG or WebP. Nothing sexually explicit is allowed, even on a page marked 18+.
Can I hide my page for a while?
Yes. Turn off Published and the page disappears until you turn it back on.

Giveaways

How do giveaways work?
You describe the prize, choose what to ask entrants for (name, email, Instagram, TikTok, X and more, plus up to 3 questions of your own) and set an end time. People enter on a public page. When it ends you draw, or let it draw itself.
Is the draw fair?
Yes, and anyone can check. Before the giveaway opens we publish a fingerprint of a secret number. After the draw we reveal the secret and the full list of tickets, and the winners come from that list in a fixed way. Anyone can re-run the check on the results page.
Do entrants have to be verified?
Entrants complete a bot check, and each email or username can enter once. If you ask for an email, we send a code to confirm it, so only confirmed entries count.
Can I limit a giveaway to some countries?
Yes. Choose Only certain countries when you create it. Visitors from elsewhere see a notice instead of the form. It goes by approximate location, so a VPN can get around it. Think of it as a courtesy limit.
Can I add a cover picture?
Yes, an optional wide picture shown at the top of the page.
What are the limits?
One active giveaway at a time, up to 1,000 entries, up to 3 winners plus 2 backups, and running for at most 30 days.
Does it have to be free to enter?
Yes. Giveaway pages and rules can't mention payments, purchases, prices, fees or donations, and we reject text that does. What you do outside FlareSpark is your own responsibility.
What happens to entrant details?
Entry details are deleted 30 days after the draw, so export your entries first. Winners are shown publicly by ticket number with part of their details hidden.
Who is responsible for a giveaway?
You are, as the host. FlareSpark only provides the entry form and the random selector, and isn't the organiser or sponsor. See the Terms.
Can I share a giveaway as a QR code or add it to my link tree?
Yes. When you create one we offer to turn its link into a QR code or add it to your link tree, and either choice opens that editor ready to go.

Polls

How do polls work?
Write a question with 2 to 8 options, share the link or a QR code, and watch the votes arrive. Voting is free and needs no account.
Can someone vote twice?
We aim for one vote per person using an anonymous token kept in the browser, plus a limit of 3 votes per network. A determined person could still find ways around that, so don't use a poll for anything official.
When do people see the results?
You choose: after they vote, to everyone at all times, or only after the poll closes.
How long can a poll run, and how many can I have?
A poll can have a closing time up to 90 days away, or none, and you can close it yourself at any time. You can have 5 open polls and keep up to 30 in total.
What do you store about voters?
Only one-way hashes of an anonymous browser token and of the network address, used to stop repeat votes. They are deleted 30 days after the poll closes. The vote counts stay.

Events and RSVPs

How do events work?
Create an event with a date, place and details. Guests open the link, choose Going, Maybe or Can't come, and can add the event to their calendar. You see every reply in your dashboard and can download them as a CSV.
Can I limit how many people come?
Yes. Set a capacity (guests count toward it). When it is full, new Going replies are declined. You can also allow people to bring up to 5 guests each.
Can I ask my own questions?
Yes, up to 3 short questions, each optional or required, and you choose whether to ask for an email. Please don't ask for passwords, payment details, ID numbers or health information.
Can people see who is going?
Only if you turn on "Show who's going to anyone with the link". Then the event page lists the names of people going and maybe. Each guest can tick "Don't show my name", and those guests are only counted. Replies of "Can't come" are never listed.
Can I get an email for each reply?
Yes, turn on the email option when you edit the event. It sends up to 20 emails a day per event.
Can guests change their answer?
If you ask for email, a guest can reply again with the same email to update their answer. Without email, each reply is separate.
What happens to RSVP details?
They are deleted 30 days after the event ends, so download the CSV first. We don't email guests.
How many events can I have?
Up to 10 upcoming events and 50 in total.

Free random tools

What tools are there?
A name picker, team splitter, coin flip and dice roller.
Are the results really random?
Yes. They use your browser's secure random number generator, and every option has the same chance.
Are my names saved?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us or stored.
Can I use the name picker for a giveaway?
For a casual pick, yes. If entrants should be able to check the result, run a FlareSpark giveaway instead, which publishes a proof.

Analytics and privacy

What do analytics show?
Clicks, QR scans, page views and entries over time, plus top links, countries (and US states), devices and referring sites, for short links, your link tree and your giveaways. They update live.
Do you track visitors?
No. We keep hourly totals only. We never store visitor IP addresses, keep a log of individual visitors or build profiles.
What cookies do you use?
A sign-in cookie, a cookie that remembers a device you chose to trust, and a one-week cookie that remembers a visitor confirmed they are 18 or older. No advertising or tracking cookies.
How long do you keep personal data?
Giveaway entries and event RSVPs are deleted 30 days after the draw or event, and poll voter hashes 30 days after the poll closes. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Safety and 18+ content

Is adult content allowed?
Legal adult content is allowed only if it is marked 18+. Every link, link tree page and button, QR code, giveaway, poll and event has an 18+ option. Visitors then see a warning and must confirm they are 18 or older before continuing.
How do I report something?
Use the Report this link, page or giveaway link on any public page, or report abuse directly. Reports go to our team and we don't store who sent them.
What happens if something breaks the rules?
A moderator can disable it, add an 18+ mark, or suspend the account. The owner is emailed with the reason (when one is given) and a way to appeal.
My account or content was disabled. What can I do?
